Over 400 Cyclists Join St. Bernard Chamber’s 10th Annual Tour da Parish

St. Bernard Parish, LA - November 20, 2024 – The St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce successfully hosted the 10th Annual Tour da Parish Bike Ride on Saturday, November 2nd, drawing in over 400 riders from across the nation. This year’s event celebrated a decade of community connection, scenic rides, and local pride, making it one of the Chamber’s largest and most memorable events to date. A recap video can be found on the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce YouTube channel, St Bernard Chamber, or on their social media accounts. Starting early Saturday morning, cyclists embarked on routes through some of the most picturesque parts of St. Bernard Parish, concluding with the vibrant Finish Fest. Participants enjoyed the ride’s scenic views and unique stops, including the iconic “End of the World” in Delacroix. With an emphasis on safety and enjoyment, the event featured water stations, volunteer support, and direction from the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office.

“It's amazing to see such a great turnout for our 10th Anniversary of Tour da Parish. We are proud to see the spirit of our community in action, welcoming riders and families to experience everything St. Bernard has to offer. We are excited to see how it will grow next year,” said Rhett Pritchard, Executive Director of the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office for their continued support and dedication to the safety of our riders. Without their guidance and assistance, this event would not have been possible. Additionally, we are immensely thankful for the volunteers who helped with event setup and day of activities, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We also want to express our sincere appreciation to our sponsors for their generous contributions, which played a crucial role in making this event a success.

Finish Fest, held after the ride, allowed participants, volunteers, and residents to celebrate together with local food such as jambalaya, fried fish, and marinated oysters, as well as beverages, music, and commemorative merchandise. This year, the Festival introduced exclusive Tour da Parish t-shirts, adding to the event's spirit of camaraderie and local pride.

As the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce looks ahead, it remains committed to supporting the local business community and creating events that showcase the Parish’s unique charm. This year’s turnout speaks to the growing popularity of the Tour da Parish and the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that makes St. Bernard a unique destination for both residents and visitors.
